The room was clean and tidy, barring a dirty cup and spoon left among the teas and biscuits from the previous guest, there was one pack of biscuit between two people even though it was a twin double room. No receptionist fine but not when you have a front door that behaves temperamentalthere should be someone on hand for reassurance being that most people would out or not prepared to answer the door, on one occasion I had to enter the code 8 times before I gained entry! The lights on one side of the room didnt work. Prior to going the landline that they have on the website didnt work. I didnt like the fact that when confirmation of payment is had they should inform you that prior to going that you will get confirmation of room and door code either a day or two before going! Albeit three days I stayed not once did they hoover the floor so the room was left quite dusty. I wasnt at all impress with the "continental "breakfast. Also they don't provide hot chocolate for kids. Barring the niggly negatives it isnt a bad house and I would stay again if they sorted out most of the above!

Great little budget hotel reading the review beforehand kind put me off, but when we arrived, it was bit hard work trying to check in as u have to ring up.to get a code. Once in room was ok apart from flash bright pink leds, but after finding a switch, I could be turned off. Great service as I left me key inside the room with no.spare I rang up guest services, which managed to locate the manager to unlock the room with in 10miins. Great location 15 mins walk to the town or the maria at the other end. Great budget hotel of ur just staying over in Brighton and not a fussy person about the room etc.

Was really pleasantly surprised as I’d recently read reviews that were pretty bad (had booked a long time ago). The location was fab, the check in process was emailed to us and was really simple (we were also called the night before check in but I’d missed the call). The room was basic but really clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay (and the bed was comfortable). We’d parked in the Buzz Bingo car park which was a few minutes walk away and less than £20 for the night, so overall it was great value for money for the trip

I was just invited to the room at night with those 2 guys. But what I saw, was really lovely room. The design of the old building the way it is, and can tell it was a house before but not when in your room. The sound proof is okay. (Maybe not next to us...) All doors have alphanumeric lock and felt very safe. Try it. XXG Gilles

Wonderful! Myself and my boyfriend had a wonderful stay. We asked for a room with a bath tub and the property were incredibly accommodating at making it happen for us. The room was spacious and comfortable, there was a large TV and clean, quirky bathroom which we loved. Great view, amazing location very central and just 5 minutes from shops, coffee shops and the water, easy check in and very fresh. Couldn’t have asked for a better time- thank you!!

It was not a 4 star room, but for the price, location and what I was after for 1 night was fine. The room was a little small with a decent bathroom but that was absolutely fine with me. They will ask for a security deposit of £50 after booking. I did not want to pay this at all, but I have got it back (2 days post check out), I think you have to ask for it back or they probably wont bother. Not as bad as some reviews

Well compared to all the negative reviews i'm very shocked about how great the place was! it is very simple and decent! you have youtube on the tv! the bed and shower is nice! the toilet has not got a door so you can make eye contact with your partner while on the toilet. But beside that great!! This was room 5 by the way!

Lovely room and great location just spoilt by other guests. First night of our 2 night stay two people came back very late drunk shouting and smoking weed. 2nd night someone came back who was screaming at the top of her voice either very drunk or having a breakdown ? and then a camera man turned up outside with a reporter while this person woke up the whole street ,god only knows what was going on. Eventually it all went quite after midnight.
